Tennis Moncton members can now reserve and use our ball machine for independent practice and training sessions.
Only Tennis Moncton members may book and use the ball machine.
The member making the reservation must remain present while the machine is being used and is responsible for the ball machine, remote control, tennis balls, and all accessories during the booking period.
The booking member is responsible for ensuring all users comply with the Tennis Moncton Ball Machine Terms of Use .
When reserving a court, members must select the "Ball Machine" option in the booking system.
The ball machine may currently only be used on Courts 1, 4, 5 & 8.
Ball machine reservations are for one-hour sessions and may be extended in accordance with regular court booking rules, provided there is no subsequent court or ball machine reservation.
Users under 16 years of age may not use the ball machine without adult (18+) supervision.
Bookings for users under 16 must be made by an adult (18+) member.
An adult supervisor must remain present on-site for the duration of the booking.
First - Time Users:
Before using the ball machine for the first time each season, users must:
Read and acknowledge the Ball Machine User Guide and Terms of Use
Sign the applicable waiver
Complete a brief orientation/tutorial with Tennis Moncton staff
Equipment Handling & Transportation
The ball machine must only be moved using the designated transport cart.
The machine must not be lifted, dragged, or transported by any method other than the approved cart.
The ball machine must remain on Tennis Moncton property at all times and may not be removed from the facility.
While every effort will be made to keep the ball machine available, daily usage may occasionally be limited by battery capacity, charging requirements, maintenance needs, or equipment issues.
Tennis Moncton reserves the right to adjust, reschedule, or cancel reservations if the machine is unavailable, under repair, or otherwise out of service.
Wet Balls & Weather
Wet Conditions
Wet tennis balls can cause serious damage to the ball machine.
Please:
Never place wet tennis balls into the machine.
Do not use the machine during rain or on wet courts.
If balls become wet during use, discontinue use immediately and notify Tennis Moncton staff.
Other players and court bookings should be respected.
Staff may suspend ball machine use whenever court or weather conditions present a risk to the equipment.
After use:
Return the machine to Tennis Moncton staff.
Return all tennis balls, the remote control, and any accessories provided.
Report any unusual machine operation, missing equipment, damage, or performance concerns immediately following your session.
Notify staff if any balls were lost during use.
Staff will inspect the machine and place it on charge after every use.
For Safety:
Stay clear of the front of the machine while powered on
Never place hands inside the machine while operating
Do not attempt to clear jammed balls while the machine is running
Operate the machine responsibly at all times.
Damage, Loss & Responsibility
Member Responsibility
The member who booked the machine is responsible for:
Tennis Moncton reserves the right to suspend ball machine privileges or take further action in cases of misuse, unsafe operation, repeated policy violations, or damage behavioour .
$8 per 1-hour session
Optional punch card: 5 uses for $30
Ball machine fees apply during private lessons.
For private lessons, the member booking the court is responsible for reserving and paying for the ball machine.
