Tennis Moncton Weather Cancellation Policy for Programs
Wet courts can be unsafe and damage balls. Tennis Moncton will only cancel programs due to wet weather when we deem the courts unsafe.
If the courts are wet before a program start and are not expected to dry in time to proceed, we will advise participants by e-mail and will always
try to do so at least 1 hour before start time. If it rains once a program has started, the instructor will decide whether to modify, pause or end the
lesson. Our non-staff instructors and coaches who travel some distance to provide programs may decide to cancel and we will always try to advise
participants by e-mail at least 1 hour before start time. Participants and parents are encouraged to use their own judgement on whether they wish to
come to the courts on wet days.
High heat and humidity, combined with physical activity, can lead to heat exhaustion and heat stroke. In such conditions, instructors will take precautions
such as reducing activity intensity and ensuring more hydration breaks. In extreme conditions, we will cancel programs and we will always try to do this
at least 1 hour before start time. Participants and parents are encouraged to use their own judgement on whether they wish to come to the courts on hot days.
